Suffolk Overview - Placed to the north-east of The city of London, the county of Suffolk is in the area of The United Kingdom known as East Anglia. Suffolk is mostly flat and low-lying, in the northern part of the county there are wetland areas that are within The Broads National Park. During the period 1889-1974 the county was split into two administrative counties, East Suffolk and West Suffolk.
