Suffolk - Set to the north-east of The city of London, the county of Suffolk is in the region of The United Kingdom known as East Anglia. The county of Suffolk incorporates a land area of 1,466 square mls and a population of around seven hundred and thirty thousand. The county is bordered by the neighbouring counties of Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire, the capital town is Ipswich, and other vital towns are Lowestoft, Newmarket, Felixstowe, Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds. The county is primarily low-lying and flat, there are wetland areas in the north of the county that are within The Broads National Park. From 1889-1974 the county was separated into two administrative counties, East Suffolk and West Suffolk.
