Suffolk - Located to the north-east of London, the rural county of Suffolk is part of the area of The United Kingdom referred to as East Anglia. The county of Suffolk has an area of 1,466 square miles and a population of around 730,000. The county of Suffolk is bordered by the counties of Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex, Ipswich is the major town, whilst other vital towns are Lowestoft, Newmarket, Felixstowe, Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds. From 1889-1974 Suffolk was split into 2 administrative counties, East Suffolk and West Suffolk.
