Suffolk England - Located to the north-east of London, the county of Suffolk is in the region of Great Britain known as East Anglia. The county incorporates an area of 1,466 sq mls and a population of approximately 0.73 million. The county touches the neighbouring counties of Cambridgeshire, Essex and Norfolk, the capital town is Ipswich, while other significant towns are Bury Saint Edmunds, Stowmarket, Newmarket, Felixstowe and Lowestoft. The county of Suffolk is largely low-lying and flat, in the northern part of the county you'll find wetland areas that are within The Broads National Park. During the period 1889-1974 the county was separated into two administrative counties, West Suffolk and East Suffolk.
