Suffolk East Anglia - Found to the north-east of Greater london, the rural county of Suffolk is part of the area of Great Britain referred to as East Anglia. Suffolk has an area of 1,466 square miles and a population of about 730,000. The county is bounded by the neighbouring counties of Essex, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, Ipswich is the county town, and other significant towns include Lowestoft, Newmarket, Stowmarket, Felixstowe and Bury St Edmunds. The county of Suffolk is primarily flat and low-lying, in the northern part of the county you'll find wetland areas that are part of The Broads. During the period 1889-1974 Suffolk was divided into two administrative counties, West Suffolk and East Suffolk.
